The dam, (called the New Dam on the old maps) is a rock-filled "v" in Canal Park The timbers can be seen during periods of low water. Sometimes the Clinton River freezes in the winter. Some people say that they remember cutting ice blocks out at a big park upstream at Utica Road and Hayes.
