The Woodrow W. Woody Park is the site of the Moravian Delaware Indian Gardens. The Moravian

Settlement was on the opposite side of the river. The white men had their gardens on the south side of

the river and the Indians had theirs on the north side. Currently there is about 3 feet of fill dirt above the grade.

The Delaware Indians in the picture who are taking part in the dedication of the

park are the desendants of the Moravian Settlers.
