Civil War Soldier

John Beutel rests in the Kukuk Cemetery in Macomb County. After serving in the War between the

States,John returned to Macomb County and farmed near the intersection of Canal and Garfield. When

he passed on in 1917 his grave was not graced with a military headstone. Dr Carl Becker, a Clinton

Township Historical Commission member and desendent of John Beutel, arranged for a proper military
