Canal Boat

This model of the "Uncle Peter" was made by Historical Commission member Maxwell Heiderer. It is 1/35 size of a 70 ton canal boat that was commonly used on the canal system in the United States. We have no record of exactly at the Uncle Peter (that was used on the Clinton and Kalamazoo Canal} looked like but this is likely a good example. This photo shows the view of the bow.
