Canada Geese like to soak their feet in the Clinton River in Canal Park, and they are abundant throughout southern Michigan. People are encouraged not to feed them because their huge numbers cause problems. This picture was taken May 9, 2008. These geese were smart enough not to nest in a parking lot or the median of a busy highway.
